A fine blue and white “Long Eliza” dish – Kangxi Period
The lobed shallow rounded sides rising from a short tapered foot to an everted barbed rim. It is neatly painted to the interior with a central medallion enclosing two ladies and two boys in a terrace garden. The lobed sides are decorated with 16 flower arrangements. The back is decorated with a ruyi-head border below the rim. The base with an apocryphal Chenghua mark.
Period: Kangxi Period (1662-1722)
Size: Diameter 19.7 cm, height 3 cm
Condition: Excellent condition, minor wear and firing flaws/pitting/dark spots, a few nibbles to the footrim, no cracks or repairs found under UV-light.
