A large Longquan celadon jarlet – Yuan Dynasty
Modelled with rounded sides and a thick-lipped rim and applied with two lug handles. The body is decorated in relief with a band of trailing peony above a band of flower petals. It is covered inside and outside in a smooth finely crackled green glaze stopping short above the foot to reveal the buff ware.
Period: Yuan dynasty (1271-1368)
Size: Diameter 12 cm, height 9.7 cm
Condition: Good condition, wear and minor firing flaws, no cracks or repairs
