A Longquan celadon jarlet – Southern Song - Yuan Dynasty
Of squat bulbous form with a thick lip. Covered inside and outside in an extremely smooth slightly crackled sea-green glaze expect for the concave foot which is unglazed. This example is quite large for the type.
Period: Southern song – Yuan dynasty, probably 13th Century
Size: Diameter 9.5 cm, height 7.2 cm
Condition: Good condition, minor wear, a few glaze cracks, no cracks or repairs
