A fine southern celadon bowl with combed decoration – Song Dynasty
The bowl has rounded conical sides and five combed patterns on the inside wall. It is covered in a lustrous light-green glaze, except for the foot which in unglazed. It gives a long, high and clear tone when tapped with a finger. It was probably produced in Fujian.
Period: Song dynasty (960-1279)
Size: Dia. 17.5 cm, height 6.5 cm
Condition: Very good condition, some wear and scratches in the well, no visible cracks or repairs.
