A green glazed mingqi tripod vessel – Han Dynasty

€250
| /

This vessel is moulded in imitation of an archaic bronze shape. The body has a deep bowl with three solid legs, with a horizontal flange all around, and two thick S-shaped handles are attached to the body's rim. It is fully glazed on the exterior whereas the interior is unglazed. Glaze has developed iridescence due to long time burial. Originally with a lid.

Size: Diameter 20 cm, height 15.5 cm

Condition: Burial ware, repair to one of the legs (see last photo), glaze in good condition

Provenance: From the collection of a German scholar, assembled between 1961 and 1966

SKU: 184
