A large Fujian Qingbai bowl decorated with a carved and combed cloud pattern – Song Dynasty

This large Qingbai bowl of gently curving conical form, is carved on the inside with a cloud pattern. There is a trace of a stacking ring without glaze in the well. Lustrous bluish white glaze with minor crazing. Lower part of the outside body together with base, unglazed. Produced in a Fujian kiln, Song dynasty.

 

Period: Song Dynasty (960-1279 AD)

Size: Height 7 cm, diameter 18.5 cm

Condition: Tiny nicks to the rim, otherwise in fine condition. Lovely ring when tapping it with a finger.
