A Longquan celadon tripod censer – Southern Song/Yuan Dynasty - SOLD

With a compressed globular body raised on three short feet, with a high canted shoulder below an upright neck and wide everted rim. It is decorated with three narrow flanges beginning at a slight ridge on the shoulder and trailing down each leg. Totally covered in an olive-green celadon glaze. The inner bottom with three vent holes.

 

Period: Southern Song - Yuan dynasty, 13th century

Size: Height 7.5 cm, diameter of outer rim 8.4 cm

Condition: Good condition, wear and firing flaws, nibble to the rim
