Tripod vessel (missing lid) of grey earthenware. Of slightly depressed globular form with wide mouth and three plain tapering feet. The upper half, above a projecting ridge, is moulded with a frieze of a hunting scene.

 

Period: Han dynasty (206 BCE-220 CE)

Size: Diameter 19 cm, height 16.5 cm

Condition: Burial ware, no repairs found under UV-light

Provenance: From the collection of a German scholar, assembled between 1961 and 1966
